Queridos amigos,

I pre-booked 2 bikes from Bike Rental & Tours for 3 weeks in April 2023, for myself and my 21-year old daughter; we cycled Havana-Vinales and Playa Larga-Trinidad. The experience... read more was wholly positive and I can highly recommend Tito and the services he offers. Pre-booking was easy and straight forward - communication and email response was fast and clear. The bikes came fully serviced, sized to us both and fully equipped with panniers, spares, tools, helmets, pump and spare inner tubes. We covered approx. 400km on the bikes and they never let us down, not even a puncture! Highly recommended for great and reliable service with a smile.
Long distance biking - I rented a bike for 3 weeks to bike across Cuba - was amazing - and afterwards rented one for my stay in Havana. Communication was super easy and Tito’s... read more responses always came fast and where helpful! I’ definitely rent a bike with him again 🙂
Tooling Around Havana - My friend Troy and I rented bikes for three days from Tito. The price was very reasonable and our hybrid bikes were perfect for the imperfect Havana streets. We rode... read more in the city for two days and saw all the scenic sites and rode out of town to Fusterlandia one day. Tito provides you with a lock and a set of allen wrenches. I highly recommend him.
We are really not sure where to start with this review but lets say Wow wow wow!! What an amazing experience. We originally planned to do this trip before covid... read more and had first made contact back in 2019, we finally made the trip in March 2023, every time we emailed with an enquiry or question we would get a swift reply and answer from Tito which was great service.
Our original booking was for the 5 day bike tour to the West of Cuba, we were spending 3 days in Havana first and the day before we left the UK we sent a quick email about the possibility of joining a half day bike tour of Havana on our first morning to find our bearings around the city, As always Tito was quick to reply and we were booked in for 8.30am on our first morning there. As always with the Cuban people they would do anything to help and the owner of our Airbnb gave us a lift to Bike Rentals and Tour Cuba and wanted nothing for this, it was a great start to our holiday and a sign of what was to come over the rest of our trip.
Elvis was our tour guide for the morning, Elvis is one of the nicest men you could wish to meet and showed us so many places we would never have found and took a lot of care to check everyone was alright, His English was perfect and we both learnt more history in that morning than we had probably managed in all our time at school. He took us to tourist sites and places off the track that we would never have found or ventured to otherwise. We also learnt how safe Havana was for tourists which gave us the confidence to walk around an amazing city over the rest of our stay. We learned so much about the Cuban people, how they live now and how they have had to live in the past. We stopped for Sugar cane water, we stopped at an amazing bakery and were treated like VIPs for the morning. This half day tour is a must in our opinion and you should try to do it when you arrive rather than just before you leave Havana! It certainly got our bike legs moving and prepared us for what was to come later in the week. The bikes were great and perfect for what we needed to do (we liked them that much that we used the same ones for the 5 day trip).
Moving on to the 5 day trip We were picked up from our Airbnb at 7.30am on the first morning by Anders our driver, we headed to Tito`s place to pick up the bikes, water, filled rolls, and Yasel, who was our guide for the trip and we headed off into the unknown with the pair of them. Over the next 5 days we cycled through countryside and villages, we zipwired through the trees, we visited beautiful waterfalls that tourists would never be aware of, we saw beautiful wildlife from Hummingbirds to the rare Tocororo, we saw forest fires and Hurricane destruction, we visited caves and went in boats, we saw cigar factories in the middle of nowhere, we bathed in sulpher waters, we visited orchid gardens, we rode horses to visit a tobacco farm that you would not reach any other way. We stayed with welcoming beautiful people in their beautiful homes and over all these days we ate wonderful food, we also managed quite a few cocktails on our travels. We spent a few evenings in Vinales which was a lively town with a market, shops, and numerous bars and restaurants where it would always seem some sort of band or entertainment would start to play. Throughout all our days Anders the driver was reliable and a perfect gentleman, his smile and laugh was infectious and even impressed us with his english throughout the journey, his skill for avoiding potholes was also impressive. We wished he could have ridden with us on the bikes more too.
Moving on to the highlight of the whole trip Yasel! When you reach 50 years of age like us you may have met a lot of people all over the world, to have the privilege to spend time and make friends with a person like him was an honour. We cannot put into words how he made us feel, we were made to feel like more than millionaires by a man who could speak many languages, perform magic, juggle, talk to the animals and sometimes the trees, Take the most amazing photos, teach us so much about an amazing country and have the biggest heart that cared about every moment of our experience. Yasel if you read this you are one special human!
In Cuba you need to have a bit of flexibility so maybe not everything was identical to the trip description, however as long as you understand things can change then it doesn't take you long to realise that the actual experience you have goes above and beyond all expectations, go with an open mind and like us you will have the most amazing, emotional trip that will be with you forever. If you are lucky enough to have Yasel as your guide and fixer for the trip then nothing can go wrong.
Thank you everyone at Bike Rentals and Tours Havana, we will never forget our time with you and one day hope to meet again.

Unique way to see an unforgettable city! - What a great experience! My husband and I did the Real Havana tour with another couple and had a fantastic time. Our tour guide was the best, and... read more went above and beyond to make the tour both informative and fun. We covered a lot of ground (Vedado, Old Havana and Central Havana) but it wasn't hard work, in fact there was only one small hill at the end of the tour. We met great people and saw some fascinating sights. We highly recommend this tour, an unique way to see an unforgettable city.
Amazing tour! We did the real Havana tour which was so interesting. You don't just get the history of the country but you get to see so many interesting places... read more what you just don't see on a normal sightseeing tour in Havana. Our guide was was the best, so informative and genuine. We couldn't recommend this any more, if you are in Havana and really want to see and hear about how people are living in Cuba, this is the tour for you.
Awesome bike tour with Elvis! - We booked the "Real Havana Tour" and it was awesome! We met Tito when we checked in and he was super nice. Elvis was our tour guide and took my... read more husband and I all around town. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him. We even stopped twice to enjoy a glass of Guarapo (fresh sugar cane juice). Highly recommended!
Amazing bike and car tour! - Amazing combo tour of Havana. Tito and Elvis were both wonderful. My mom decided last minute to not do the bike tour, so Tito took his time to show her... read more a local market and allowed her to stay at his home while we did the tour. Elvis knew so much about Cuba’s history. We felt that we got a very comprehensive background of Cuban history and current conditions. Would strongly recommend! They also have bikes with kid seats for littles, which was great for our 2 yo.
