We did the extended tour together with our guide Elvis. What a tour it was. We have seen so many beautiful place with him and he told us many many... read more things we didn’t know. Such a nice guy and speaking 5 languages even Dutch (we are from the Netherlands) together with 2 small kids it was really a treat to go with Elvis. He took us to a small playground with a food stand where we had a goog chicken. Don’t hesitate to join them on a cycling tour in Havana. It is perfect!
As bike riders, we were thrilled to be able to tour Havana on our favorite mode of transportation. Our guide was the most extraordinary resource for knowledge about the city... read more -- and an accomplished cyclist.. We covered many neighborhoods and historic sites starting with sitting on a bench with the John Lennon statue nearby. We saw where the ultra wealthy lived in Havana's heydays, toured various neighborhoods, monuments and historic areas and learned a bit about the revolution and former US/Cuba relations, as well as visiting a practitioner of the the Santeria religion where we learned a lot. The Havana streets can be a bit challenging, making the ride similar to off-road cycling at times. We were glad we brought our bike helmets on the trip.

His employee Elvis took us on a leisurely 4 hour bike tour all over the unique neighborhoods of Havana with lots of quick stops to talk about the local history and modern culture. We asked him a thousand questions about life in Cuba and he was kind, encouraging and informative, we learned so much!
Both gentlemen were lovely and it was a perfect way to start our week in Cuba. Would highly recommend for anyone.
